Our Association was founded in 1998 with the vision to preserve the history of German hunting and sporting guns and their makers for us and for future generations; and to share this history with like-minded people in the United States, in Germany and the entire world.

Our mission

To achieve this, we established a permanent non-profit organization guided by democratic principles which welcomes members from all over the world. We collect and share information on German guns, from the earliest breechloaders to modern hunting and sporting guns, as well as information about the rich heritage of the German hunting tradition.

The German Gun Collectors Association is incorporated in the state of New Hampshire, USA, and is recognized as a 501(c)3 educational non-profit organization.

Our organization depends on the support of our members and generous donors around the world.

Our mission

Answering questions about German guns and their makers is one of the most important things we do. This service is not limited to our members but also available to the general public. Visit: Questions & Answers for information.

E-mail Correspondent Groups in various specific categories are an important source of information. If you are well versed in a specific subject that relates to German guns, we will welcome you to an existing group or will form a new one. Contact us at: jaeger@valley.net

Our Archive is a work in process at our main office in New Hampshire. Information and images are collected and filed in our computers and file drawers. This material will be reviewed and sorted periodically and the final products will be stored on CDs or DVDs. Contact us at: jaeger@valley.net

Our library is built and administered by our member Larry Schuknecht. It contains books, catalogs and magazines that relate to German guns and their makers. Lists of available publications that can be loaned and photo copies of articles about specific subjects are available from our main office for a nominal fee. Contact us at: jaeger@valley.net

Members can list their interests in our website for a nominal $10.00 annual fee. Visit: Member Directory
