  • Ohio Gun Collectors Show

The GGCA was well represented this week end (SEP. 15/16) at the Ohio Gun collectors show in Wilmington Ohio. Our President, Tom Devers set up tables displaying some fine German sporting guns along with a sample of our literature and the raffle gun. Tom and his friend John signed up a few members and sold raffle tickets and publications.

GGCA treasurer, Arlen Saunders had a table nearby displaying more German guns including a fine drilling with two sets of barrels he recently aquired. As always, there were many interesting Austrian and German sporting arms on the show tables waiting on a new home with one of our members.

On Saturday, after the show, Arlen and his wife dined with John, Tom and I at the General Denver where we had a fine meal and got a phone call from director Jon Spencer checking on our activities.

During the show lots of other members stopped by to chat and many others came by to ask about their German guns. It seems like the OGCA shows are a good way for the GGCA to to make new friends and have a positive influence on the gun collecting community.

Many thanks to Tom Devers for all his work with this event. He will next be taking the GGCA NRA convention display of drillings to the Vintagers event in Rhode Island.

    Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
    Roger
