It weighs 6lb. I am now trying to learn how to paper patch. Walmart cash register receipts are perfect thickness. The caliber is 9.3x57r (360 2 1/4 BPE). Hope to chase Kansas whitetail wit it this fall.

    Mike,
That is a great looking rifle, I'm jealous. Have you "slugged" the barrel yet? I am playing with a Husky SXS 16/ 9.3X57R and it makes me wonder if the Swedish case/ bullet dimensions are the same as Continental dimensions. I usually make cases for this class of cartridges from original length 38-55 cases, even though they are 1/8" short and rims usually need thinning. The Husky chamber will take the 38-55 case "as-is". This and the fact that the groove diameter is larger than I expected makes me wonder If mine is really a 9.3 or if it is actually 38-55. I would consider it a favor if you checked the Kerner to see if it will close on a 30-30(same rim as 38-55) case and let me know what its groove diameter is. I'm guessing the Kerner is nitro proofed, is it also "Express" proofed?

            Mike,
I did get it, but didn't know it until today. I didn't get an obvious notification even though I looked every day. I think the new site changed something that I was used to, and I had to scroll down and go into the messages. It was there. I guess you could say it was my fault for lot checking closely enough. I will answer over there.
